The Eagleman is Soaring with Jesus

On Sunday July 25, my best friend, my lover, my companion, my husband, the father of our children and so much more soared to the highest of heights into the arms of Jesus. He is now worshipping in the presence of the King in the way we only dream about.

The arrangements for Dr. John Watson's calling hours and celebration service will be held at Marion Christian Center: 1550 Richland Rd, Marion, OH 43302. The calling hours are Wednesday, July 28th from 5-8 PM EST and Thursday, July 29th from 11-12, with the funeral following at 1 PM. A “John W. Watson Memorial Account” at any Fifth Third Bank has been set up in lieu of flowers.

What a joy for Apostle John to be soaring with Jesus. Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Pastor Pat, we are praying for you and children and church family. We love you and will support you in any way we can

Dr. John touched so many hearts and lives. I know he made a big difference in mine. We as a church were so blessed to have him as our church father. Words cannot express our sadness and how much we will miss him. I know that he is enjoying heaven. Walking and talking with Jesus and worshipping our King of Kings. Pastor Pat, you and the kids will be in our prayers. Pastor John would want you to carry on just like he was here. He is cheering for you and us in heaven. Love the Pruetts.

Apostle John was the first true father of the faith I encountered... a man who humbly illustrated and lived the Father's heart for His children. I am sad to hear of the loss this side of heaven, but rejoice that he now is seeing clearly the glory of the Lord he so faithfully proclaimed. With love - Gerry and Lorri Morford

Pastor John, how I respected this precious man of God! Your ministry opened my world to an amazing encounter with the almighty Father. My very first meeting with you was at New Hope in Orrville. You walked up to me and said "Woman, thou art faithful." You will never know what those words meant to me! Pastor John, I am rejoicing that you are home. We are soon behind you. Love to Pat and the whole family. Verna Horvath

Pastor Pat and Church Family. I, as countless others, have been blessed by the ministry God entrusted into your hands. I share your grief and pray God's strength for this hour and too I rejoice with Dr. Watson who is surely praising God and watching over those he loves.

When I read the news I said to my wife "who will believe in me now". There are others who do, I know, but none has had as great of affect as what Dr. John has had. As I mourn the loss of a father I rejoice for him and the little that I really knew him. My heart goes out to you Pastor Pat as well as the rest of the family.

When our family lived in Orrville, Ohio we used to come to visit Marion Christian Center. During worship, Pastor John would sit and write in a notebook. I asked a friend at the church what he was doing. He said Pastor John would stop and write everytime God spoke to him. He did it at every service we ever visited. He must have numerous journals of what God said to him. I always admired his humility, and his boldness to speak. I also admired the way he would not be front and center but let the Spirit lead. It was always worth the drive. Ricky Yoder, Elkhart, Indiana

Peace and blessings to Pastor Pat and the family.
We just received the news of Pastor John's homegoing. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met such a kind and gentle man of God, and to have been affiliated with the school and Marion Christian Center. I pray that God's love will continue to provide comfort and peace in the days, months and years ahead.
Pastor John will be sorely missed by all, but we know that in time we will all meet again.
Sincerely,
Jerry Sims

Upon learning of Apostle Dr. John Watson's death I am filled with feelings of gratitude for his life. I live in Columbus and have frequented MCC several times over the past 8 years being consistently blessed and encouraged by the empowering ministry John started and the speakers MCC would bring in.
By the grace of God I was given a chance to meet and thank him for this God-glorifying ministry at a Panera in North Columbus. I know now those were some of his last weeks before moving into the ultimate healing of arriving home. I am eternally grateful for this.
I will always remember his earnestness to read (a book a week! if I remember correctly), his drive to equip the saints, and most of all to glorify Jesus-to make Him feel welcome and loved in MCC's services.
I thank God for Apostle Dr. John Watson and formally honor him as a man of God for he did things only a man of God could do, and for the catalyst he was for the Kingdom of God.
Pat, my sincere condolences and blessings to you and your family.
-John
