Please Pray

Pastor John is going to write an update to be posted soon. In the meantime, please continue to pray for him. The pain is intense and he is having stomach pain reaction from taking so many Advil. He began radiation today. This is a difficult time.
We are believing for a good Christmas with the family here at home.

As I see God's faithfulness and miracles in the little things (like plumbing) and in financial areas (like contracts out of the blue), I am profoundly thankful, but there's so much I don't understand. I want to see miracles of healing and restoration and BIG things (not that a miracle is ever a small thing). I was just talking with God about this, yet again, asking Him what's up with that; why don't I see people getting healed when I KNOW they and a lot of others are praying in faith and truly believe You and Your word??? (This was not an impertinent conversation, mind you.)

I still don't know the answer to that question, nor does anyone else, but the thought that dropped into my mind as I prayed was that as I see the "smaller" miracles and the answered prayers it builds my faith and I see bigger and bigger miracles because I truly come to KNOW that nothing is impossible with God. (We say we know that and believe that but, if we're really honest, we usually find that there are some things we think are impossible and we just hope God can and will do something.)

It is with this faith that I continue to stand with you. It doesn't matter whether or not I understand or see what I want to see when I want to see it. What I see and what I KNOW is that our God is an awesome God. He loves us far more than we can fathom. He IS a healer and redeemer and deliverer, and provider, and good shepherd, King of Kings and Lord of Lords but also Abba, Father, our friend, our rock and our strong tower our comforter… so many things. It is HE whom I believe and this morning I feel so strongly His presence and His heart. I trust in Him implicitly and I continue to stand with you in ever-increasing faith in these challenging days.

May this be a blessed, especially special Christmas for you and your family….filled with love and laughter and health and life and the warm embrace of your Father who dearly cherishes you.

Much love,
Sharon
