Thank you for your care and prayers. It makes a lot of difference.
In the past two weeks I have had four MRI's or scans to seek to determine what is causing pain in my body - in particular my right hip. My doctors have decided the tumor or lesion in my right hip has grown plus a growth has happened on my right rib cage. The treatment plan is to do three weeks of radiation on both areas. Pray for grace and success.
A secondary problem which has caused more pain is the pain reliever I have been taking. Advil has been the one pill that has helped with the pain and enabled me to sleep at night. But it is causing now great (stomach) gas pain which complicates life. I need wisdom in dealing with the gas.
I have sought to maintain a normal life although these pains make it hard. Thank you for your love and prayers.

We continue to pray for you and for the Lord's "Restoration Power" to come upon you, deliver you, and heal you. He is Mighty and worthy of our praise. Be strong and courageous.

Pastor John,
A really good nutritionist could help with some of the problems with your stomach and such....possibly ask the doctor. It really helped me through things regular meds didn't help but made worse. Maybe you've already done this. No one knows how much pain can affect one's life until you've gone through it. I empathize with you. Dear Pastors John and Pat, Just checked the blog a few minutes ago. I must say how much we love you both. Pastor John we continue to pray and BELIEVE for your healing. I know Jesus is faithful, and you STILL have so much to do. Pastor Pat we love you and we thank God daily for Jesus bringing you and Pastor John together. Jesus gave Pastor John a wonderful gift when He brought the two of you together. We pray for you strength and patience as you walk through this time of trial. Jesus will walk it with you both. Dear Friend and brother in Christ:
I come to MCC a couple times a year to participate in the School of the Holy Spirit service and you have been used by the Lord to speak wonderful prophetic words over me that have truly undergirded my walk and propelled me forward. I logged onto the church site this evening to check about Sunday worship times in anticipation of a possible visit only to learn of what has occurred. Let me say I am so sorry to hear of what has happened, but as sure as I sit here I know the Lord our God has the delivering and healing power to bring a testimony out of this. The enemy wouldn't press you so strongly if he wasn't so concerned about the power of Christ within you. That power is the very source of blessing I've received through you and the source of your recovery. I will pray mightily for you, your family and your flock my friend.
